Nicolas Jackson on Pochettino – Chelsea’s new star surprisingly drew a comparison between London’s team manager Mauricio Pochettino and former Arsenal coach, Unai Emery.
Coach Mauricio Pochettino joined Chelsea this summer, and The Blues’ fans are hopeful that he is the right person to lead the club back to success after the disastrous 2022/23 season. Last season, Chelsea finished empty-handed and a disappointing 12th in the Premier League standings.

Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter were sacked, and although Frank Lampard returned in an interim role, he failed to prove his capabilities. Chelsea missed out on a spot in European competitions next season, so Pochettino will focus solely on the Premier League campaign.

The London club has also made some quality signings, including the £30 million striker, Nicolas Jackson. He scored his first goal for the new club in a 4-3 victory over Brighton.
This forward played 26 matches under Unai Emery in La Liga before the manager moved to Aston Villa in October of last year. Jackson compared Pochettino to Emery, saying:
Everything is going really well, and I am very happy. The weather is very hot, but I am used to it; I’ve experienced it in Spain and Senegal as well. There are some similarities between Coach Pochettino and Unai Emery, who trained me at Villarreal.
They are both strong-willed men, with great dedication to their work. Pochettino is fantastic; I have been following him for many years, and I know he is a great coach. Pochettino is one of the best in the world, so I’m delighted to be working with him, and I hope we can achieve great things together.
Jackson is expected to be Chelsea’s key center-forward in the upcoming season, partnering with newcomer Christopher Nkunku.
