Chelsea U.S. pre-season squad – Manager Mauricio Pochettino has finalized Chelsea’s squad for the 2023 Summer tour. It does not include Lukaku, Hakim Ziyech, Aubameyang, and Hudson-Odoi.
After two costly transfer windows, Chelsea had to streamline their squad this summer. A total of 11 players bid farewell to Stamford Bridge, including first-team members such as Christian Pulisic, Mason Mount, Kai Havertz, N’Golo Kante, and Mateo Kovacic.
The personnel streamlining process is not over yet, as more players will depart from The Blues during the remaining part of the summer. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Hudson-Odoi, Romelu Lukaku, and Hakim Ziyech are among those placed on the transfer list.
None of these four players made it into the 29-player list that Chelsea is taking to the United States for their tour. They will stay back to negotiate with potential new clubs. Aubameyang is likely to join Marseille, Lukaku might move to Juventus, while Hudson-Odoi is in talks with Fulham.
During the tour, Coach Pochettino is taking 29 players, including new signings such as Christopher Nkunku, Andrey Santos, Nicolas Jackson, and Malo Gusto. However, Benoit Badiashile, Wesley Fofana, Reece James, Marcus Bettinelli, and Armando Broja will not be traveling with the team due to injuries.
Chelsea will play four friendly matches in the US, facing Wrexham, Brighton, Newcastle, and Fulham.

Forwards: Mykhailo Mudryk, Raheem Sterling, Noni Madueke, Angelo Gabriel, Diego Moreira, Nicolas Jackson, Christopher Nkunku, Mason Burstow, Dujuan Richards.
