Chelsea changing the name of Stamford Bridge is very high as they are in negotiations with a renowned sponsor affiliated with Bayern.
The insurance group Allianz is the sponsor being discussed here. After learning that Three is no longer the sponsor on Chelsea’s jerseys, Allianz immediately entered into negotiations. However, the chances of Allianz winning the bid are not high.
Currently, Chelsea prioritizes Stake despite 77% of the surveyed fans objecting to their club being associated with a financially non-transparent betting company. However, Chelsea doesn’t want to lose a major sponsor like Allianz, so they are considering options such as shirt sponsorship or prominently sponsoring the stadium.
Many sources indicate that Allianz is seriously negotiating a long-term sponsorship contract with Chelsea, which would place The Blues in the “Allianz Stadium family” that this German company holds.
Currently, Allianz sponsors 7 stadiums in cities around the world, including Munich, Sydney, Minnesota, Nice, Vienna, Turin, and Sao Paulo. The most famous one is undoubtedly Bayern’s Allianz Arena. Nice’s home stadium has also been renamed Allianz Riviera.
Allianz’s “octopus fountain” has not yet entered the two major leagues, the Premier League and La Liga. Therefore, Allianz is eager to finalize a contract with Chelsea and transform Stamford Bridge into “Allianz Bridge.”
